Ghosted mode on Scale Model Mode
HI,
Just recently updated iris for the Oculus, and realized that the way we now scale things in Scale Model Mode changed to a more "pinch and zoom" way of doing things.
While scaling up the model, now I get a very reduced field of view, almost as it was a forced ghosted mode. After a sec or 2 it goes away, but when dealing with large context models, it makes it hard to see if what you are doing is providing the correct result as your field of view is very narrow.
Previous method (no ghosting) seemed more fluid.
Is this the default now? Is there a way to turn off this feature?
Thanks

Hi Michael,
Thanks for checking in about this!
Yes, we've updated the way that a model is scaled while in Scale Model Mode to be more intuitive with the controllers and it's further described here.
What you described above with the reduced field of view is called Comfort Mode and its purpose is to hide portions of the model that are outside the field of view when it's reached a certain scale in Scale Model Mode.
However, there are certainly times when you still want to be able to see the full model. Your preferences for this setting can be adjusted by opening Prospect on your desktop and clicking on the gear icon on the top right corner. This will open up Global Settings, where you will find "Scale Model Comfort Mode" toggle for on/off.
Let me know if this answers your question!
Best,
Ailyn
