Feature Request: Revit Exporter - Ability to Save Prospect scene to File
CompletedI would like the ability to save a Prospect experience to a file, so that I can return to it again without exporting the revit model every time.
The Problem: I have large revit models that cannot be exported to a single scene (or the framerate will drop too much). So I might want to view different parts of the building separately. For example, the main lobby, then the roof deck, then the parking garage. The revit export process for each of these scenes takes a non-trivial amount of time. Therefore, if I want to show a client the main lobby, then the roof deck, then the main lobby again, I need to do the same exporting multiple times. I would prefer to be able to export all the scenes ahead of time, and then be able to launch any one of them instantly.
The Solution (perhaps?): As I understand it, in order to launch the VR experience from revit, Prospect must export the revit geometry, build the Unity scene and then launch the scene. If we had the ability to save a scene and revisit it again without exporting the model each time, we could stream-line our meetings with clients, keep an archive of the development of the model, and more easily give VR demonstrations of a variety of different projects.
Thanks for considering!

- Being able to download a file would solve a Revit problem I have. We only have 1 oculus, and it is not installed on a machine that has Revit. So, it is currently impossible for us to use the Revit plugin. Formerly I was able to drag and drop a .RVT file on the file upload window and it would process the Revit file. If I were able to download or have a web interface like “Scope” that houses processed files, I could send the .RVT from a machine that has Revit installed, then view on my Oculus machine.
