How to get Revit Custom Material Maps to show in Prospect?

    Hi Rob,

Would you be able to send us the Revit file you're experiencing issues with, or a sample file that you've applied the material to? You can send this to us at using a free file transfer service such as WeTransfer. Please send an email from your email client with a link to the file, rather than having the file transfer service send the file to us directly (as the latter can result in the email being detected as spam).

Once we get the file our team can look into what might be going on.

Ideally Prospect would use the "Additional Render Appearance Paths" that the user has already specified in the Revit Options -> Render dialog.  However, we found that copying the custom textures into the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\..." folder would help Prospect to find the custom textures.

This is not a sustainable solution and hopefully you will have a fix for this soon.

    Hi Jason,

Has there been a fix for this yet? We are still experiencing trouble viewing our materials in Prospect.

Are you missing the texture on the computer where Revit is installed or on another computer?
