If you are just starting to explore the options for virtual reality, it can become a little daunting given all the options.
However, we've put together a short 3 step list of what you'll need to get started!
- Decide what you want to use virtual reality for. Client presentations? Internal Reviews? We've created a brief guide here, which we recommend everyone read.
- Select your headset. Once you've established what you want to use VR for, picking a headset is easy. For VR on a smartphone see the options here and for desktop VR here.
- Selecting the right computer to power the experience. If you've chosen to go with desktop virtual reality, you'll need a powerful computer to run the headset. And if you are going the mobile VR, make sure your device meets the specifications for best quality.
Using Prospect in no-HMD mode
Prospect allows users to join meetings and view files from a desktop with no headset connected. The functionality in this mode is limited, and the full immersive effect of VR cannot be achieved in this mode. While this mode can be helpful for users joining meetings who do not have a headset, we recommend using Prospect with a VR headset for the best experience.
